Social Studies, New Era is a scholarly as to its content, intent and target , published biannually by the Department of Studies Regional Culture (DECR), University of Guadalajara. Its content, focusing on 
Social Sciences and Humanities, is multidisciplinary and reflects the same open-mindedness that exists in the DECR, favoring a subject, discipline, theoretical or methodological approach in particular, or favoring a rigid regional orientation.
